Emi and I have been looking to do a paddle since we have been in Copalis Beach.  The bike shop up in Seabrook offers a couple of river kayak tours but we felt they were over-priced and we are not a big fan of guided tours.  We are more of the self-guided type of people 🙂  After doing a bit more research, we came across The Boat House in Ocean Shores.  Most people only think of the ocean when it comes to Ocean Shores.  This town actually has 23 miles of inter-connected waterways — canals, lakes, etc.  It is amazing!!

The Boat House had some really nice inflatable kayaks for rent.  Great staff.  Nice dock to stage/launch.  A really pleasant experience before, during, and after the paddle.  Super affordable too.

We saw lots of wildlife — ducks, deer, raccoons.  Kayaking with the headwind was a challenge though but once you made it far enough, you could just relax and let the wind carry you back to the start.  Super relaxing and fun paddle.
