Today was a hot one.  While we didn’t get anywhere near the 115 in Portland it was high 80’s and may have broken 90.  Luckily, the ocean breeze kept it from feeling miserably hot.  Emi said the sun was burning her skin but I think she was being a bit dramatic 🙂

The Sawdust and Sand Festival was pretty sweet.  Lots of great chainsaw artists.  Amazing what they can do with a chainsaw and a log.  This pirate was my favorite.

We left the sawdust behind for the beach.  The beach was cray, cray.  Never seen so many people and cars in one place — well since COVID that is 🙂  But I think it was crazier than normal because of the insane heatwave going on in the rest of the Northwest.  People trying to escape the heat with a nice day on the beach.  Reminded me of tailgating at an NFL game.

Tailgating on the beach

We had enough the heat.  Decided to hit up a local brew pub — Ocean Pours Taproom.  Great beer and cider selection.  Super refreshing.  Cool spot with a cool vibe.  Will definitely be back.
